abstract

introduction: foot insoles are widely recommended to prevent running related to injuries. however, their effects on the frequency of ground reaction force(grf) is still unclear. the purpose of this study was to elemental test the effect of four shoe insoles on frequency of grf during stance phase of running. materials and methods: 15 female students (mean age22±1/85 year, height162±4/71cm and weight56±5/59kg) were selected. subjects were asked to run over a force plate, in a control and insole (normal, soft, semi rigid, rigid) conditions. vertical and anterior-posterior (ap) of grf were evaluated in frequency domain using fast furrier transformation. one factor repeated measures anova was used to test the hypothesis.   results: the statistical results showed that there was a significant difference between insoles in 99.5% frequency of vertical (p=0/001), ap grf (p=0/049), and median frequency of ap grf (p=0/012).   conclusions: increasing hardness of insoles reduces the 99/5% frequency power of grf and median frequency of ap grf. accordingly, the 99/5% frequency power of grf and median frequency of ap grf can be an indicator of shoes insoles effects on the foot during running.

Investigating the relationship between frequency components of ground reaction force and sport shoe insoles comfort during stance phase of running

Introduction: Shoe insoles are widely recommended to increase sport shoes comfort during running. However, relationship between ground reaction force frequency and perceived comfort is still unclear. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between ground reaction force frequency changes and perceived comfort during stance phase of running. Methods: 30 female students (mean...

Effect of unstable shoes on ground reaction force parameters during stance phase of running

Introduction: 24-67% of recreational runners suffer from running-related injuries. The purpose of this study was to test the effect of unstable shoes on selected ground reaction force (GRF) parameters during stance phase of running. Method: 20 healthy men (age of 21±2.27 years, height of 176.93±5.39 cm, and mass of 72.30±8.84 kg) ran on the force plate placed in the middle of 15 m runway in ba...

Immediate effects of femoral external rotational and abductoral taping on ground reaction force characteristics during running

Introduction and aim: Taping is a common method used by athletes to improve muscular function. The aim was to assess the immediate effect of femoral external rotational and abductoral taping on three-dimensional ground reaction force characteristics, their time to peak, impulse, displacement of center of pressure, vertical loading rate, and free moment during stance phase of running. Method: 24...

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

The Effect of Shoe Outsole Containing Nanoclay Particles on Knee Joint Power during the Stance Phase of Running

The popularity of running and consequently of running injuries has increased tends to develop shoe sole constructions aiming at preventing different injuries. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of shoe outsole containing nanoclay particles on knee joint power during stance phase of running. Fourteen healthy male shod runners run 3 times at 3.5 m.s-1 under three shoe condi...
